You have most probably see for the past days in your twitter feed, hysteria around an Ipad app called Flipboard. It’s more than deserved.
The experience is absolutely fantastic. The way they have redesign social media experience (just talking about browsing, playing and interacting is not covered yet) is brilliant.
But once done playing with Facebook and Twitter new browsing style, I have started to play with the content section. Same cause, same consequences, amazing.
If you haven’t play it, do it now and you will understand the cultural gap between traditional media companies and a digital content company.
Media groups have seen in the iPad a hope to save their industry and the first thing they have produce is to reproduce magazine in an app. #fail as we say on twitter
Flipboard just proved them that content is may be king but without a great user interface, content is nothing in our digital world.
